Practical Interventions

Business Projects Resolved
Wouldn’t it be good to have a safe pair of hands that you can trust to take care of projects, problems and incomplete jobs? Someone who is only around for as long as you need them?

Claire Taylor set up Practical Interventions to ‘take the strain’ out of assessing, planning and executing short term projects or even just completing outstanding ones.

The nature of the work is that sometimes you won't be sure it really needs doing, or that someone else could do it. Please read the examples of work set out below. If you think there is something that could be progressed, don’t hesitate to phone and discuss. Claire's business experience and entrepreneurial approach make her the perfect business partner.

Looking for new markets here the Client had always meant to get round to pushing the boundaries of the business. Claire completed an investigation and analysis of international and domestic ‘raw’ material suppliers market, assessing service, product characteristics and development needs. As a result of this work the Client was able to take a coherent and informed view.

Business Relocation - Practical Interventions planned and managed all the necessary practical processes in order to move the business while managing the building services staff. The business was able to function efficiently, throughout the relocation process with all services operating smoothly from day one.

Temporary Manager. Valued member of staff away for a year
Claire took over a project servicing 1000 annual visits to a research site, involving travel arrangements, hotel accommodation and visitor schedules. In addition, she designed a CRM solution for repeat visitors and successfully organised a customer conference for 50 people from 20 countries.

Introducing cutting edge communications
The client was aware that the business needed to re-establishcommunications between customers and the factory. They needed to be aware of shortened lead times and new technologies. Practical Interventions set up an outside agency to manage the process of direct mailing, designing and prodicing new brochures, setting up and managing their web site, introducing CRM software and using market research to best advantage.

I could do this myself
Well yes you could, but there is a list of projects that are not getting done, isn’t there? An agency temp will not have sufficient knowledge to step into senior roles and a full-time project manager might be too expensive. Because Claire Taylor is able to attend flexibly and for a fixed period, Practical Interventions provides an affordable, quality solution.
